ASSUMPTION OF BLESSED VIRGIN MARY
Catholics are obliged to attend Holy Mass on the Feast of the Assumption. Vigil Mass will be at 7PM (Pol.) on August 14th, and on August 15th Masses will be at 11AM (Eng.), 7PM (Pol.) and 8PM (Cro.).

WALKING PILGRIMAGE TO GROTTO
On Saturday, Aug. 17 after the 8AM Mass there will be a walking pilgrimage to the Grotto starting at 9AM. Prayers at the Black Madonna Shrine will be at noon. Please bring lunch and we will eat together at the Grotto.

Pilgrimages in 2014
Pilgrimage to Rome for teenagers and parents will be February 13-20. Pilgrimage to Lourdes for all parishioners will be May 22-29. More details to come.

WARSAW UPRISING 1944
The Warsaw Uprising was a major World War II operation by the Polish resistance Home Army to liberate Warsaw from Nazi Germany. The rebellion was timed to coincide with the Soviet Union’s Red Army approaching the eastern suburbs of the city and the retreat of German forces. However, the Soviet advance stopped short, enabling the Germans to regroup and demolish the city while defeating the Polish resistance, which fought for 63 days with little outside support.
