OCTOBER – MONTH OF THE ROSARY

Every Sunday in October, there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 10:30 am, and the rosary will be recited at 10:40 am before the 11:00 am Polish Mass. We will also pray the Rosary after every Sunday evening English Mass. 

WYPOMINKI

Wypominki is a Polish Catholic custom to remember and pray for the souls of the departed in the month of November. The names of our deceased parishioners and family members may be written on a list available in the back of the church and we will read the names and pray for them 20 minutes before the Polish Masses in November.

St. JOHN PAUL II FEAST – October 22

On October 16, 1978 Cardinal Karol Wojtyla was elected pope and took the name John Paul II. His inauguration took place on October 22, 1978. He was beatified on May 1, 2011 and canonized on April 27, 2014. His liturgical feast is on October 22

St. Faustina Film to show one night only on October 28

Fathom Events will distribute “Love and Mercy: Faustina” in U.S. movie theathers for one night only, Monday, October 28. In the Archdiocese of Portland, theaters showing the film include: Regal Lloyd Center 10 Cinema, Clackamas Town Center in Portland, Regal Bridgeport 18 in Tigard, Cedar Hills Crossing 16 in Beaverton, Regal Wilsonville 9 Cinema, Regal Santiam 11 in Salem, Regal Valley River Center 15 in Eugene and Tinseltown Medford in Medford. Please check the times.

Daylight savings time ends on Saturday, November 2nd. On Sunday morning at 2:00 a.m the time goes one hour back to 1:00 a.m.

SOLEMNITY OF ALL SAINTS

Friday, November 1st, All Saints Day is a Holy Day of Obligation. Adoration will be at 10am and Masses will be at 11am (Eng.), 7pm (Pol.).

On Saturday, November 2nd, All Souls Day,  Masses will be at 8am (Eng.), 12pm and 7pm (Pol.).

On Sunday, November 3rd, after the Polish Mass, with the catechists, children and families we will visit the graves of our deceased parishioners and pray for them at Calvary Cemetery, 333 SW Skyline Blvd.
