THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD
The Presentation of the Lord, recounted in the Gospel of Luke, is the story of the infant Jesus and his parents meeting the elderly Simeon and Anna in the Temple in Jerusalem. This year, the Presentation of the Lord is on First Friday. English Mass at 11AM.
SOCIETY OF CHRIST STUDY DAYS
Fr. Peter will be attending Society of Christ study days at the Duncan Conference Center in Delray Beach, Florida on Monday-Friday, February 5-9th.
ARCHBISHOP’S CATHOLIC APPEAL
Next weekend is Commitment Weekend for the Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal. The Archbishop’s Catholic Appeal provides substantial financial support to essential ministries that support parishes in our Catholic Church in western Oregon. Your pledge is an opportunity for you to share your blessings and support for the Gospel mission. If you did not receive a commitment card in the mail, pledge envelopes will be available in the church.
PARISH PARTY FEBRUARY 3RD
On Saturday, February 3rd at 5 p.m. we will have a party in the parish hall to honor people who have birthdays in February such as Mrs. Bujak, one of our oldest parishioners. Pierogi and meat will be provided. Please bring salads and desserts to share.
PARISH DONATION ENVELOPES FOR 2018
Parish donation envelopes for 2018 are available and should be used by all registered parishioners. If your box of envelopes is missing, please contact Fr. Peter.
PASTORAL HOME VISITS
In Poland it is customary in the New Year for the pastor to visit the family homes of parishioners and bless the home. If you would like Fr. Peter to visit, please contact him to arrange a day and time.
FIRST HOLY COMMUNION AT OUR PARISH
First Holy Communion at our parish will take place on Sunday, May 13th.
CONFIRMATION AT OUR PARISH
Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 5pm Confirmation at our parish will take place on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 5pm. and Bishop Peter Smith will be presider.
REST IN PEACE
In your prayers, please remember Sergio Falero, who passed away in Peru on January 7th. He was the brother of our parishioner Mary Carmen Stępien. We offer our condolences to his family and friends. In this time of sadness, may they know God’s consolation.
