THE YEAR OF FAITH
The Year of Faith began Oct. 11, 2012, the 50th
anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican
Council and 20th anniversary of publication of the
Catechism of the Catholic Church. The Solemnity
of Christ the King concluded the Year of Faith.

PARISH PARTY FOR ST. ANDREW’S DAY
On Saturday, November 30 at 8pm there will be a
parish party for St. Andrew’s Day. Everyone is invited
to the party. Please bring salad or cake and a
donation of $5.00 per person.

ARCHDIOCESAN ATTENDANCE CENSUS
Attendance will be taken on the weekends of
November 30 & December 1 and December 7 & 8.
All adults and children at each Mass should be
counted. The census is an important factor in many
future planning decisions.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION – December 9
No Holy Day of Obligation
The Bishops of the United States in 1847 petitioned
Pope Pius IX that the Blessed Virgin Mary be
declared patroness of the United States under the
title of the Immaculate Conception. Since the usual
feast day falls on Sunday this year, it has been
moved to Monday and is not a holy day of obligation,
but on Monday, December 9th, there will be
Masses at 11AM (Eng.), 7PM (Pol.) and 8PM (Cro.).

POTLUCK FOR ALL WOMEN OF PARISH
There will be a potluck for all women of the parish
combined with a baby shower for our parishioner,
Kimberly Roland. It will take place on Saturday,
December 14 at noon. All women of the parish are

FOR ADVENT
Please bring donations to the Parish Hall: jackets,
sleeping bags, blankets, socks, shoes, backpacks,
hats, gloves, scarves, adult-sized jeans/pants,
sweaters, Tri-Met tickets, travel-size shampoo, lotion
& deodorant, canned tuna, peanut butter.
