THE YEAR OF FAITH
The Year of Faith began Oct. 11, 2012, the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council and 20th anniversary of publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It will be concluded on Nov. 24, 2013, the Solemnity of Christ the King.

40 DAYS FOR LIFE – Sept. 25 – Nov. 3
40 Days for Life is a cross-denominational, faith-based effort made up of key components: prayer and fasting to end abortion.

WORLD MISSION SUNDAY – October 20
On Oct. 20 World Mission Sunday will be celebrated. This year we are invited to act in solidarity with missionaries in India and throughout the world.
We will have a second collection on this day.

Fr. Peter will be visiting his mother in Poland so there will be no Masses from Tuesday, October 22 through Saturday, October 26.

In your prayers, please remember Marie Doreen Maykut who entered Eternal Life last week. Memorial Mass was celebrated on Friday, Oct. 18. She will be buried at Holy Cross Cemetery, Edmonton, AB Canada. Our condolences are offered to Jerry Maykut and his family. In this time of sadness, may they know God’s consolation.

The month of November, especially All Saints and Souls Days, is a traditional time for visiting the graves of loved ones, as is the anniversary of death. During November, we are called in a special way to remember “our brothers and sisters who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection”.

FIRST FRIDAY OF THE MONTH – NOV. 1
ALL DAY ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT will be from 10AM until 6:45PM. Holy Masses will be at 11AM (Eng.), 7PM (Pol.), 8PM (Cro). Please sign the adoration list.

ARTS & CRAFTS WINTER BAZAAR
St. Stanislaus Arts & Crafts group will have a Winter Bazaar on Friday, November 8 from 10AM-3PM. Handmade items and miscellaneous items will be available for purchase. Polish lunch will also be sold.
