CATHOLIC CHARITIES 2013 ANNUAL CAMPAIGN

The event will take place Wednesday, May 1, 2013. It will be held at Portland Golf Club from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm. Tickets are $30 and will be available at the door on the day of the Tea. CONSTITUTION OF MAY 3, 1791

The document was designed to redress political defects of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth; the system of “Golden Liberty” had conferred disproportionate rights on the nobility (szlachta), and over time had corrupted politics. Its adoption was preceded by a period of agitation for, and gradual introduction of, reforms, beginning with the Convocation Sejm of 1764 and the election of Stanisław August Poniatowski as the Commonwealth’s last king, and culminating in legislation adopted by the Great Sejm.

TRUE LIFE TRIO CONCERT – MAY 4

Three women from San Francisco will be performing in this classical music concert. It will commemorate Constitution of May 3rd in Poland and will take place in the church at St. Stanislaus Parish at 7PM on Saturday, May 4. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and children and are available at the door.
